VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Department of Political Science at the University of Central Arkansas invites applications for a visiting professor position in Political Theory to begin January 2012. The position is expected to continue into the 2012-2013 academic year. The department seeks candidates whose primary areas of expertise include any combination of Western, American, or contemporary political theory. Teaching responsibilities also include introductory sections of U.S. Government and Politics. The successful candidate will possess excellent teaching skills and demonstrate the potential for scholarly research and publication. A Ph.D. in Political Science is preferred. ABDs will be considered. If the candidate does not have the Ph.D. in hand, he/she will be hired as an Instructor until such time as the degree is obtained.
