Students Place in Virtual Case Study Competition
Four University of Central Arkansas (UCA) graduate students placed third out of fifty other teams in the annual StudentAffairs.com Virtual Case Study Competition. These students were second-year Andrew Wiemer and first-years Amanda Doyle, Danny Glassmann, and Marianne Price. StudentAffairs.com is a comprehensive index of Internet resources for college student affairs professionals, offering information on and links to over six hundred listservs and websites. The competition was made up of master level students in student personnel administration and/or counseling graduate programs. The teams were allowed to be three or four students and had to be from the same institution. The case study focused on some aspect of technology and its relation to student affairs. This year that focus was on Facebook. Each team had only two weeks to put together a presentation answering the case study and submit it for review. For third place, each student received fifty-dollars and a plaque that was mailed to the graduate program. For more information about the case study, click here.
