MAcc Coursework
Required Coursework
To graduate, MAcc students must complete 10 courses, six required courses and four electives. Student who attend full-time can complete the MAcc in one year (fall, spring, and summer). Course descriptions for MAcc courses can be found in the Graduate Bulletin.

MAcc student who did not have the following courses at the undergraduate level must take them at the graduate level to count as electives.

Electives
MAcc students take four elective courses in addition to the six required courses listed above. It is common to take one elective in Summer I, one elective in Summer II, and the remaining two electives in Fall and Spring. Below is a list of approved electives:

Elective Tracks
An elective track is a recommended set of electives that are matched with a career path. There are two elective tracks below.
Taxation Track
Students who are planning a career in taxation, public or industry, may wish to take the following electives:
- ACCT 6319 Corporations & Shareholder Taxation
- ACCT 6329 Partnership & S-Corporation Taxation
- ACCT 6339 Estate & Gift Taxation
- ACCT 6305 Advanced Business Law for Accountants [or other elective]
Industry Track
Students who are planning a career in industry as opposed to public accounting, may wish to take the following electives:
- MBA 6303 Managerial Economics
- MBA 6325 Organizational Behavior
- MBA 6305 Financial Decision Making
- MBA 6320 Strategic Management
