MBA Scholarship Golf Classic set for Homecoming

The College of Business Administration at the University of Central Arkansas will host the 6th annual MBA Scholarship Golf Classic on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the Conway Country Club. For the first time, the golf classic will be a part of UCA's Homecoming Week.

Sign in for the four-person scramble begins at 8 a.m. with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is $100 per person in advance and $125 per person after Oct. 16.

All proceeds go toward scholarships for graduate students in the College of Business Administration.

UCA sets fourth consecutive enrollment record

The University of Central Arkansas has set another record enrollment this fall of 12,400 students, making UCA the second largest college in Arkansas.

Since Lu Hardin assumed the presidency in September 2002, UCA has added nearly 4,000 students, increasing from 8,500 students to 12,400 students. This represents a 46 percent increase in four years.

Majors Fair set for Oct. 5

The 9th annual Majors Fair is set for Thursday, Oct. 5, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

Representatives from the academic departments will showcase their majors, programs and achievements in a ?fair? atmosphere with games, door prizes and refreshments.

The Majors fair is sponsored by the Academic Advising Center, the Division of Undergraduate Studies, and the six academic colleges.
