MINIMUM TRADITIONAL BSN ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Admission GPA is based upon the cumulative GPA or GPA of the required 34 hours of nursing prerequisites (listed below).
- A grade of "C" or above for all of the 34 hours of nursing prerequisites. Transfer students should check to see what comparable courses are offered at other Arkansas schools.
- WRTG 1310--Intro to College Writing
- WRTG 1320--Academic Writing
- MATH 1390--College Algebra
- PSYC 1300--General Psychology
- SOC 1300--Principles of Sociology
- FACS 1300--Nutrition Life Cycle
- BIOL 1400--Biology for General Education (BIOL 1440 will substitute for BIOL 1400)
- BIOL 2405--Human Anatomy & Physiology (BIOL 2406 and 2407 will substitute for BIOL 1440 or 1400 and 2405)
- CHEM 1402--Physiological Chemistry I (CHEM 1402 and 2450 are recommended for nursing majors but CHEM 1450 and 1451 may be substituted)
- CHEM 2450--Physiological Chemistry II (CHEM 1402 and 2450 are recommended for nursing majors but CHEM 1450 and 1451 may be substituted)
- Presentation of a complete application within published deadlines, with a $25 application fee by check or money order payable to the UCADepartment of Nursing.
- Completion of a Computerized Exam. Consists of arithmetic, reading comprehension, and sentence structure. Scores on all three exams will be considered for admission and remediation purposes.
