MSN Admission Criteria

A current unencumbered RN license.	Print
A baccalaureate degree in nursing from a CCNE or NLNAC accredited program. (Graduates of non-accredited programs will be evaluated individually)
A minimum GPA of 2.7 (4.0 scale) overall or a 3.00 on last 60 hours of earned credit.
Successfully completed a basic statistics course with a grade "C" or above.
Have at least one (1) year experience as an RN prior to enrolling in the clinical courses. Clinical practice must be direct and current (within the last three (3) years). Students may enroll in the non-clinical courses while completing the RN practice requirement.
Have applied to and met Graduate School application requirements.
Complete and/or obtain the following documents to submit with your application: A one-page typed (double-spaced) narrative addressing your future professional goals and how your studies at UCA will help you fulfill these goals. A resume summarizing your educational, work, and professional experience. A Work Reference form completed by an individual who has direct clinical supervision over you A Verification of Clinical Practice form documenting at least one (1) year of clinical experience (currently or within the last three years). A Criminal Background Check verification form.

Submit the MSN application and all supporting documents to the Department of Nursing: For fall admission: between February 15 and April 1 For spring admission: between June 15 and August 1 Applications will only be accepted during these time frames
