Security Council   The permanent and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council will choose the topics that will be placed on the agenda during the two-day session (see below for some possibilities).  Each of the members of the UN Security Council should be prepared to propose topics for the agenda that they have determined are threats to international or regional peace and security.  In addition to these topics, there will be one "emergency" topic that will be submitted to the UN Security Council at some point during the conference.

(3)  Situation in Iraq (U.S. occupation)


(4)  Situation in Afghanistan (Taliban insurgency)

Model Arab League (MAL)

(1)  Resolving regional security problems, including border security, piracy, cross-border military interventions, and arms trafficking.

(2)  Establishing common standards regarding the rights of children, women, elderly, and other vulnerable populations in the areas of education, labor security, and human trafficking.

(3)  Reviewing the question of extradition between the member-states of the MAL, and repatriation of citizens of MAL member-states held in foreign detention facilities.
