An Open Institute

July 9-13, 2007

Do you want (or need) students to write more in your class? Personal writing is a great tool that helps students share themselves with others. More importantly students are knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Personal writing gets students writing! Come join us for a few days of fun, writing, and learning methods and ideas for using and promoting personal writing in your classroom. Teachers of all ages and subjects are invited to attend!

Here’s what you’ll receive when you participate in the open:

Lots of great ideas and materials you can adapt for your own classroom
Time to do some of your own personal writing
Collaboration with other teachers of writing
A book of writing prompts for your classroom
20 Hours of Professional Development including 3 in technology
Hours of fun as well as personal and professional growth
