Current Research:

  • Effects of Oral Feeding on Oxygen Saturation and Heart Rate in Typically Developing Bottle-Fed Infants.
     
  • Measurements of Tongue Strength and Endurance in Typically Developing 4- and 5-Year-Old Children.
     
  • Effects of Genetic Taste Perception and Aging on Laryngeal Elevation during Swallowing. This is a joint investigation with Dr. Cathy Pelletier, Manager, Speech-Language Pathology, Asst Professor, Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences.

 

Future Research:

  • Common practices in conducting pediatric clinical and videofluoroscopic swallowing examinations.
     
  • Effects of Taste on Submental Suprahyoid Activity in Typically Developing Children and Children with Dysphagia.
