Hughes-ies will be given
the opportunity to participate in specialized training for
public speaking and debate.
Students' participation
in long-established traditions tie the experiences of current
Hughes students to Hughes alums in a way that is much more
common in the Ivy League than in state universities.
Volunteer opportunities
are available for Hughes students within the UCA community and
beyond. In the past, Hughes-ies have served as volunteers
for such organizations as: the Faulkner County Boys and Girls'
Club and Heifer Project International.
Residential College faculty and staff are
available to provide assistance in initiating involvement with
these--and dozens of others--philanthropic organizations.
