Opportunities available to State Students

  • State-ers have worked closely with the Humane Society of Faulkner County to help control the feral animal population through raising the resources necessary for covering the costs of trapping spaying/neutering, and treating local animals.  In fact, the UCA chapter of the Humane Society began in State Residential College!

  • State Residential College is the home of two home-grown annual celebrations which are popular all over campus--the 'State Patrick's Celebration Week' and the end-of-the-year 'State Send-Off.'

  • Beginning in Fall 2008, State students will have the opportunity to work with local organizations that train companion animals for disabled people.

  • Residential College faculty and staff are available to provide assistance in initiating involvement with these--and dozens of others--philanthropic organizations.
