Transfer Orientation Leaders
2009 Transfer Orientation Leaders
Coming to a new college campus can be a challenging experience. The Transfer Orientation Leader (TOL) program helps incoming transfer and adult learner students adapt to UCA. A staff of currently enrolled, volunteer student leaders are available to aid in welcoming you to UCA. TOL volunteers are here to support you in your orientation experience by giving tours, conducting workshops, and providing as much assistance as possible. Should you have questions about UCA, just look for the white polos which are worn by all TOL volunteers.

THE HISTORY OF TOL
The Transfer Orientation Leader (TOL) program was designed in the Fall of 2007 in order to better meet the needs of incoming transfer and adult learner students. The students were selected by the TOL Student Director, two Student Orientation Staff (SOS) Co-Directors and three faculty and/or staff members. A Student Director and Team Leader are selected each year to guide the other staff members and work closely with the advisor to ensure the program’s success. Currently, the TOL program offers two-one day TRANSFERMATION programs. TRANSFERMATION is an opportunity for new students and parents to visit and learn more about the university - in addition to registering for classes. TOL’s are also responsible for assisting with Move-In Day programming during Welcome Week for new students. The goal of TOL is to inform and educate new transfer and non-traditional students, allow them the opportunity to feel a part of their new environment, and to help them feel good about their decision to attend UCA.
