
Catherine R. Acre, Ed.D., OTR/L, FAOTA
Assistant Professor & Program Advisor
Dr. Acre has provided occupational therapy services for over 25 years, has taught at UCA since 1989, and is the program advisor for the program. Her practice has focused on providing mental health services and services to the elderly. Dr. Acre is co-founder and co-coordinator of Acting Creates Therapeutic Success (ACTS), a community based performing arts program with adults with developmental disabilities. The ACTS program provides opportunities for participation in theatre for adults with disabilities in the Faulkner County community. This program is supported through grant funding from ILS and participants. Currently, she is involved in collecting data on program outcomes for the program.
Dr. Acre has been involved in various leadership positions both in the American Occupational Therapy Association and Arkansas Occupational Therapy Association. Currently, she serves as a member of the Arkansas Occupational Therapy Licensing Committee and on the Greenbrier Independent Living Services Board.
