Lorrie A. George, Ph.D., OTR/L , ATP
Assistant Professor
The primary courses taught by Dr. George relate to the evaluation and interventions for adults with acquired neurological and non-neurological disabilities, assistive technology, advanced spinal cord management, and clinical reasoning. She has a great desire to provide her classes with real experiences that help promote their application of course material, enhance their clinical reasoning, and provide a service to a consumer who otherwise may not be receiving occupational therapy services. This type of instruction involves a teaching method referred to as service learning: the learner and the consumer equally benefit from the experiences.
Dr. George serves on the Governor’s Trauma Advisory Board and on the advisory board for Increasing Capabilities Access (ICAN).
