Rehabilitation Services is recruiting personnel for the following position:

Occupational Therapist

(SEAT/special program)

Grade N901

Minimum Qualifications: the formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy; plus two years of experience in occupational therapy. Must be licensed in an Occupational Therapist by the Arkansas State Medical Board.  Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.

Preferred Qualification: licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Arkansas State Medical Board. Knowledge of existing assistive technology devices and services. Knowledge of early return to work practices and principles. Knowledge of ergonomics, knowledge of state purchasing procedures. Ability to complete functional assessments. Ability to develop reports describing assessment findings. Ability to procurement of assistive technology devices. Ability to design, modifies, and assists in the fabrication of assistive technology devices. Ability to provide training, consultation, and technical assistance in the areas of assistive technology and early return to work.
