Frequently Asked Questions

  1. I am interested in taking an online class.  What do I need to do? 

    If you are not currently a student you will need to apply to the University.  Official sealed transcripts are required for admission.  Once you have been admitted to the University, you will need to decide which class that you would like to take.

  2. How do I search for online classes in URSA?
    Before you begin your search for online classes in URSA, please read this information carefully.  The following instructions will help insure that your search will result in all the online classes offered through Academic Outreach.

    SEARCH INSTRUCTIONS:
    In URSA, please select the term for which you are interested in enrolling.  Then select the subject; make sure to leave the instructional method field on "ALL"; scroll down and select either Academic Outreach FA (financial aid) eligible or Academic Outreach non-eligible FA. Then click the submit button at the bottom of the page.  This will render all of the online classes that we offer.

    FA Eligible-semester based courses for UCA (in-state) students
    FA Non Eligible-extended study 6 month course students, HepNet out-of state students, and students taking grant classes and/or workshops for credit.

  3. How do I enroll?

    Most online courses are open for self registration.  If the class is closed and will not allow you to register online, contact the Credit Secretary by calling 501-450-5274.

  4. How do I know when I am enrolled?

    You will be able to log in to URSA (you should have received the log in information in a letter from Admissions) to view your class schedule from there.  The class will show up once enrolled.  For all students enrolled in a class, please make sure to contact Student Accounts regarding your bill within one week of enrollment or you can/will be dropped from the class.

  5. Can you give me information about what the class involves?

    Any questions regarding the class itself should be addressed to the instructor.  You should be able to e-mail the instructor through URSA or search for the instructor's contact information from the UCA home page.
