Acxiom/UCA Information Technology Careers Camp

The IT Careers Camp is designed to heighten students' interest in the Information Technology career - which is working with computers and related technology.  The camp is designed to educate students about IT careers and to encourage them to continue their education beyond high school.  Students will be part of a group comprised of some of Arkansas' brightest students as they learn about interesting and rewarding careers in IT.  The camp is made possible by the generosity of Acxiom Corporation.

Camp Goals:

You'll learn about the many careers that involve working with computers.  This camp will be educational and rewarding! 

Who Should Attend:

We especially encourage incoming 10th and 11th grade students to apply; however, other student applications will be considered.

Camp Highlights:

  • Learn about IT Careers
  • Learn about applying for college and getting financial support
  • Learn about Acxiom - a very successful Arkansas High Tech Company
  • Meet IT professionals and learn about what they do
  • Take a field trip to Acxiom and experience real IT operations
  • Learn from knowledgeable speakers
  • Meet other students from around the state
  • Experience the "College Life" at UCA

Cost:

ABSOLUTELY no camp costs for motivated students.  All camp expenses (room, board, etc.) are covered by a grant from Acxiom Corporation.  Students need only bear the expense of getting to and from the camp.
