PandA: Planning and Assessment

Assessment Plan Library

This page provides access to assessment plans for many programs at UCA. It replaces the old AOPA assessment plan archive, which is, as of fall 2009, no longer available. Since assessment reports are now a part of departmental annual reports and program reviews, no report date will be recorded in the Assessment Plan Library. Where possible, the most recent plan revision date is indicated in the list; many are or soon will be under revision and will be updated here when possible. The list is arranged by college, program-level, degree, and program name; programs not affiliated with one of the academic colleges are listed under Other Academic Areas at the end of the list. Linked plan documents are in PDF format.

The Academic Planning and Assessment Committee is completing a comprehensive review of program assessment plans, projected to be complete in December 2009.

College of Business Administration

Note: The BBA programs, the MBA, and the MAcc are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Assessment of these programs follows guidelines of the Association. Contact the dean's office, College of Business Administration, for more information. These programs are not at this time linked to separate assessment plans.

College of Education

Note: The teacher education program--comprising most of the programs in the College of Education and several programs in other colleges across the campus--is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Assessment of these programs follows NCATE guidelines and is outlined in a Professional Education Unit (PEU) assessment plan. All undergraduate and some graduate teacher education programs use the Teacher Performance Outcomes Assessment system; in addition, all programs participating in the PEU are required to receive national recognition from the appropriate specialized program association or state approval from the Arkansas Department of Education. PEU programs are identified in the list below (and, as appropriate, in program lists for other colleges); these programs are not at this time linked to separate assessment plans.

College of Fine Arts & Communication

Note: Programs in Art, Music, and Theatre are accredited by their respective arts accreditors: the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), and the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST). PEU, of course, refers to the Professional Education Unit (see College of Education, above).

College of Health & Behavioral Sciences

Several programs within the College of Health & Behavioral Sciences are programmatically accredited by a professional association (indicated in the list below). Assessment of these programs follows the guidelines of the relevant assocation. Accredited programs are not at this time linked to separate assessment plans here. PEU, of course, refers to the Professional Education Unit (see College of Education, above). Abbreviations unique to this section of this page are explained in this legend:
