UCA Institutional Peers List
Originally proposed by UCA's Faculty Salary Review Committee in AY 2005-2006, this list of twenty-two institutional peers was developed on the basis of geography (institutions in Arkansas and surrounding states), FTE student enrollment (approximately 7,000-15,000), and program size (based on number of degrees granted, with emphasis on baccalaureate- and master's-level degrees). The committee used institutional information from the IPEDS system to make its comparisons and validated them against two classification systems--the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education and the SREB Category. The committee did not seek to create a list of institutions identical to UCA but to develop a list of somewhat diverse but largely comparable institutions. The list was adopted in spring 2006 and will be reviewed periodically.
