All UCA research using human subjects must be approved by UCA's Institutional Review Board (IRB). All applications for IRB approval submitted by Psychology faculty and students must first be reviewed and approved by the Department of Psychology and Counseling's Human Subjects Committee (HSC).

The Department of Psychology and Counseling maintains a pool of voluntary student participants using experiment scheduling software at experimetrix.com/uca. The pool may be used by Psychology faculty and students who have IRB approval to conduct their research.
