Psychology and Counseling

Use of the Psychology Participant Pool

Students may sign up to participate in psychology experiments using a web-based experiment scheduling system at http://uca.sona-systems.com/. The UCA Research Scheduling System will assign students 1 credit for each 15 minutes of research participation. Students who sign up for an experiment are expected to show up for the experiment.

Information for General Psychology Instructors:

All General Psychology students must complete 60 minutes (4 credits) of research participation worth 5% of the students' course grade.

Enrichment activities may include participation in psychology experiments and other activities designed by the instructor as alternatives to research participation. All PSYC 1300 instructors must offer an alternative to research participation.

Each credit equals 15 minutes of enrichment activity.

No student can earn extra credit unless they have completed the 2 enrichment activities.

If you are not a General Psychology instructor but would like to offer opportunities for research participation to your students, contact the Scheduling System Webmaster.
