UCA Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program

Credentialed Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education

UCA, Arkansas Children's Hospital and Allied Therapy and Consulting Services

The University of Central Arkansas Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency Program is offered, in cooperation with Arkansas Children's Hospital and Allied Therapy and Consulting Services.  The full-time program is credentialed through the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education. 

Residency Program Information

Through participation in an intensive period of study incorporating both clinical and didactic opportunities, residents will be provided the opportunity to advance skill and knowledge related to Pediatric Physical Therapy.  Eight ABPTS certified pediatric specialists are available to mentor and share experiences with residents.  The curriculum includes clinical opportunities in a variety of pediatric practice opportunities covering the spectrum of pediatric therapy for both the acute care setting and community based therapy. Included as well in the curriculum are didactic courses designed to advance the resident's knowledge of core issues related to pediatric practice patterns.

Estimated Cost of Program

The Residency Program is 12 consecutive months in length.  In addition to practice opportunities in acute and community-based settings the curriculum consists of 9 graduate credit hours.  AS OF FALL 2011, GRADUATE tuition for Arkansas residents AND RESIDENTS OF STATES CONTIGUOUS TO ARKANSAS is $398.35 per graduate semester hour.  Lab fees and special department fees are not included. Out of state GRADUATE tuition (FOR RESIDENTS OF STATES NON-CONTIGUOUS TO ARKANSAS) for Fall 2011 is $619.60 per graduate semester hour.  Information on tuition is available from UCA Student Accounts at http://www.uca.edu/studentaccounts/.  Tuition and fees are subject to change at any time.
