Nancy B. Reese, PhD, PT

Dr. Reese received her PhD in anatomy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. As a Professor in the department, she teaches neuroscience, gross anatomy, and administration courses as well as core courses in the PhD program. She has authored two textbooks: Muscle and Sensory Testing and Joint Range of Motion and Muscle Length Testing (with Bandy), both published by WB Saunders Co., and numerous articles in her research field. Dr. Reese is Treasurer of the APTA Section on Education, an on-site reviewer and Team Leader for the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), Chief delegate for the Arkansas Physical Therapy Association, and is on the Board of Directors for PT-PAC. Her research interest is the amelioration of spasticity following spinal cord injury and her clinical specialty is adult and pediatric neurological rehabilitation.
