Apply for State Residential College

We are now accepting applications for Fall 2009.

You can now Apply Online!

A Living/Learning Community like State requires that students work with faculty and staff to integrate their academic experiences into their social and civic activities.

To make all this magic happen, students must apply to two entities at UCA: Housing and Undergraduate Studies.

You must complete the requirements for both before we can fully admit you.

  • Download and fill out this application form.      <Microsoft Word Format>     <rich text format>     <PDF> or APPLY ONLINE!
[If you have trouble downloading the document, you can
contact the Residential College Recruitment Team at residentialcolleges@uca.edu or 501/450.5969.]

  • Yes, this application requires you to write a brief essay, but nothing this great comes without a little effort, right?  Essays should be around two pages typed.

  • Send your completed application and essay to the Residential Colleges Staff at <residentialcolleges@uca.edu>

  • You may submit the application electronically, print and send it through the postal service, or fax it to us. (If you apply online it's all done in one step!)

  • If you have any questions about the Undergraduate Studies application requirements!

You must also apply for and be accepted to the Department of Housing and Residence life.  Specifically, you will need to:

  • Complete the application for UCA Housing and Residence Life.  This application is SEPARATE from the application you completed for Hughes Residential College.

  • Pay your $100 housing deposit, even if you have been awarded a scholarship.

  • If you have any questions about the Housing application or deposit, please contact our cheerful staff at Housing and Residence Life.

Remember to send in your application early.  By the time you arrive for summer registration, you will have far fewer options regarding your choice of Learning Community and classes!
