SAFA Funding Information

The Finance Committee is chaired by the Vice President of Finance
and attended by at least one SGA Advisor. The members of the committee
consist of a representative from each class and a Senator-at-Large.
The SGA Finance Committee serves as the primary fund distribution body
for the Student Government Association. After hearing funding proposals
the committee votes to approve, deny, or modify and approve funding requests
according to the SGA Constitution and Your Presentation. A unanimous
decision passes as the final result, with split decisions being referred
to the next Full Senate Meeting.
We meet every Wednesday Afternoon at 4:00pm in Student Center 207C.

The SAFA Committee meets to determine organizational funding from the
student activity fee for the next academic year. There will be a sign-up
in the spring for presentation slots and a due date for proposal submission.
We will then meet for a week hearing proposals, with a deliberation period
at the end to decide on our reccomendations to full Senate.
* We meet once toward the end of the spring semester because it helps
to establish the SGA budget and our activity allocation to groups for
the next year. Be sure to look in February for the SAFA schedule
and proposal forms online.
