This track is designed for teachers who want to improve their classroom practice using the most current knowledge, aligned with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Some teachers will want to increase content knowledge with pedagogy. Others may wish to gain more knowledge about the national board certification process so that they can become knowledgeable candidates as they apply to achieve national board certification.

Content Track Courses

The five required courses plus 15 hours of electives chosen as approved from their subject area or other electives from the following list:

• ASTL 6325: National Board PPP
• ASTL 6330: Action Research
• ASTL 7320: Curriculum and Instruction
• ASTL 6310: Integrating Media and Technology
• ASTL Adult Education Endorsement
