Campus Safety and Security
This seminar, conducted by the University Police Department, is required for all UCA employees for the 2009-10 academic year ONLY. Participants have the option of attending any one of the following four dates: (Note: additional offerings of dates/times will be made available to faculty thru their colleges).

Diversity
Value and respect are due all people, regardless of differences in age, gender, faith, economic level, etc. This seminar presents diversity training in a highly interactive, non-threatening self-exploratory manner. The program addresses the value of working in a diverse environment and provides participants the opportunity to discuss both the challenges and rewards in doing so.

This year’s Diversity topic is Gender.

Seminar content will include: terminology, a self-reflecting exercise, case scenarios, and a suggested professional response. The seminar is provided on an annual basis for the entire UCA population.

Sexual Harassment
UCA requires all employees to be familiar with its Sexual Harassment Policy. This not only protects the University employees from liability but also helps to provide a positive and safe work environment on campus. The seminar defines sexual harassment, provides examples as to what constitutes sexual harassment and identifies the proper steps for any employee to take if he/she feels they are a target of sexual harassment. This seminar is provided on an annual basis for the entire UCA population. Participants have the option of attending the program on-site or on-line.
