University of Central Arkansas President Lu Hardin today announced he appointed Warwick Sabin to the position of associate vice president for communications effective March 19.

Application forms are now available for book scholarships given each year to non-traditional women students by University Women, a nonprofit campus organization at the University of Central Arkansas.

Hughes Residential College at the University of Central Arkansas recently received several new pieces of equipment that will be used to integrate technology in the classroom.

More than 500 UCA students annually will benefit from a new Sympodium, an interactive lectern that allows images to be projected onto a screen, as well as a new computer, digital projector and screen. All of the equipment is being provided as a part of UCA?s Title III activities.

Nominations are being accepted for the annual UCA Employee of the Year award. Awards will be given at the Service Awards Program in April 19, 2007. There are three options for nominating staff based on the staff person?s classification status. Any classified or non-classified full-time UCA employee with two years of continuous service as of December 31, 2006 is eligible to be nominated by faculty, staff, students or alumni.
