2012 Undergraduate FACS Scholarship Application

Criteria for Selecting Candidates for Scholarships: must be an undergraduate major in an area of Family and Consumer Sciences at the UCA *must be a full-time student and enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester credit hours each semester *must have a minimum of 2.50 cumulative grade point average from all attempted college coursework on a minimum of 24 credit hours completed, 12 of which are at UCA *demonstrated leadership skills in departmental organizations, campus and non-campus activities *The recipient must attend the annual Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni/Student Recognition Luncheon at UCA on April 27, 2012.

Procedure for Selecting Scholarship Recipients: Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship committee composed of UCA Family and Consumer Sciences faculty. Recipients will be notified by mail prior to the luncheon date. In addition to this form, transcripts must be submitted to the FACS office no later than 4pm on March 12, 2012. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Payment of Scholarship: The scholarship shall be paid per requested plan on the dates of registration on the condition that the student continues to maintain at least a 2.50 GPA and continues to major in one of the specialization areas of Family and Consumer Sciences. In the event the recipient discontinues enrollment, fails to maintain GPA, or changes major the unawarded funds will be forfeited.
